2026 Science Festival

Through the workshops:

“What are plants without the sun? What is man without plants?”

“The Energy of Life: From Electrical Impulses to Food Chains”

“How Do Our Genes Regulate Energy in the Body?”

we promoted the BIOGVEK project and popularised science.

 

The workshops were held on Friday, 24 April 2026, at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Split. Around 100 primary school children, divided into several groups, took part in the event. Participating schools included Sućidar and Brda (Split), Stjepan Ivičević (Makarska), and Vjekoslav Parač (Solin).

 

Students Dea Amber Radić, Iva Ivanko, Antea Dželalija, Tina Blažević, Martin Perković, Daniel Laća, Anamarija Alagušić, and Ema Gabela participated in conducting the workshops, alongside BIOGVEK project collaborators and instructors Željana Fredotović, Mirjana Babić Leko, Antonela Sovulj, Marija Nazlić, and Valerija Dunkić.
