Precisely because of the above, plants of the genus <em>Veronica<\/em> are the subject of research project IP-2020-02-8425 (CROVeS-PhyBA) of the Croatian Science Foundation. Students showed great interest in this type of plants, their natural habitat and collection, isolation of essential oil and hydrosol using microwave-assisted extraction, identification of compounds characteristic of these types of plants and testing of their biological activity. We hope for their enthusiasm and participation at the Science Festival next year, and perhaps a future scientist is hiding among them.
