From November 9th to 13th, our team members Assist. Prof. Dr. Tomislav Rončević and Dr. Iva Stojan visited Trieste, Italy. On November 10th, they attended the international workshop “Tackling antimicrobial resistance: prevention, monitoring, and counteraction” at the Area Science Park, where Dr. Rončević was an invited speaker. He delivered a lecture titled “Helical antimicrobial peptides from helminths active against multidrug-resistant bacteria.” For the remainder of their visit, they worked in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Alessandro Tossi in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Trieste, focusing on the preparation of two manuscripts. During this time, Dr. Stojan carried out flow cytometry experiments together with Prof. Dr. Sabrina Pacor.
