The main idea is to find the common physical principles which would describe the behavior of these ordered structures on the molecular and cellular level. The goal is to investigate the stability of clusters and associations and define the mechanisms of domain formation and destruction upon the introduction of a third component into ordered mixtures. The research will have two main topics: the ordering in multi-component molecular solutions and the behavior of biological membranes in the interaction with antimicrobial peptides.
